A 2h Masterclass. I will be leading a Yin practice exploring some of the qualities of the meridian system on the flow of chi energy. Clara will guide us with a meditation and yoga nidra practice at the end of the practice.
We learn about the main physical, mental and emotional attributes that the practice of Yin yoga offers. In addition, Clara from Satnam Yoga will guide us in a meditation to empower and improve our confidence in ourselves and in others.
Yin is a slow paced style of yoga that holds postures (asanas) for longer periods of time than we are used to in more dynamic yoga practices. Depending on each asana and the experience of the yogi, we will work at intervals between 1 minute and 5 minutes.
Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the body’s connective tissues – tendons, fascia, and ligaments – with the goal of increasing circulation to the joints and improving flexibility. Yin yoga offers a meditative approach to yoga, its goal is to cultivate awareness of our inner silence.
Maintaining calm positions will make us expose everything that we repress, avoid or resist. Give ourselves time to inhabit our emotions without the compulsion to act, either defending or denying them. In short, with the practice of yin yoga we are creating an environment within us so that all our feelings exist and move, without the need to act on them, while we silently observe how they rise and fall while we relax in the asana.
