Yoga and Christmas

Yoga is a discipline to see the whole. Physical posture is a framework for seeing how parts of the body relate to our mind and breath rather than separate things. Yoga helps us to recognize patterns of movement, attention and thought. Yoga is a discipline that helps us to recognize the neural structures that live hidden and that emerge when things get complicated.

And when things get complicated, as it gets complicated at Christmas, the mind looks for excuses to abandon the practice of yoga and commit enough excesses.

In fact, the mind is always looking for excuses for us to give up, it is called self-sabotage, they can be excuses of “I don’t have time” “I have to do other things” or excuses of “it hurts”. … “
